 field repair

Magnum consumables burn at twice the temperature of oxyacetylene for 4 times the cutting speed and efficiency.

If you are looking for piercing power the MAG3836™ is a favorite among repair and scrap personnel alike. A 24” pin can be pierced and shrunk for removal in as little as 10 minutes (2 cutting tubes). Consider using a 18" or 36" tube extender to gain additional distance from the burn zone.

The particle stream emmanating from an oxyflame tube provides 10,000 degrees of cutting power to melt through anything, including stainless steel, cast iron, manganese, hard-facing, and even rocks. No preheating means a small HAZ (heat affected zone) to eliminate metal hardening and post weld fatigue.

Our deluxe ignition includes a handy recharger and battery status gauge. The charging socket also powers laptops, cell phones and work lights. Ignitions come with Odyssey® batteries for portability and longer work duration.

Oxyflame tubes are unique. They cannot function separate from the system so they can safey be shipped around the world. Steel tubes are straightened and micro-coated to resist corrosion. Tubes are subsequently filled with solid fuel spokes combusting only t in the presence of pure oxygen and an initial catalytic spark. The outer tube and inner fuel are configured so that the inner fuel conforms to the inside of the tube in a patented corolla style leaving a carburetor throat. Crimps hold the solid fuel spokes in position for consistent burns and smooth cutting, gouging and piercing.

Flame tubes fit into the torch head against a rubber washer and are held in place by virtue of a brass collet. The arrangement is designed so as to prevent head leaks. Oxygen flows through the tube. A spark ignites the tip of the tube and inner fuel. Once ignited, no additional spark is required. The tube will continue to burn so long as oxygen pressure of ten pounds or more flows through the tube. A 2" recess in the rear of the flame tube ensures the flame will extinguish as it nears the torch head. This safety recess also eliminates flashbacks.  When oxygen pressure is increased, the flame length is also increased. High oxygen pressure can burn a hole through solid rock.
