MAGNUM MANUFACTURING INC Certified as a Top 20% Performer by Dun and Bradstreet
Are your cutting products current?
Looking for an air-carbon-arc replacement? Magnum's newly patented arc cutting rods are miniature particle accelerators providing up to 20 minutes of continuous cutting in quiet mode. Enjoy over 24 separate industrial processes from a single cutting torch. Scrap, dismantling and salvage specialists find the rod's longevity, quiet operation and modest power requirement an indispensable tool for their cutting arsenal. Our wrapped arc rods burn on land and underwater as do our flame cutting tubes. Both products have been tested in lab and the field experiments and have been used by repair and maintenance professionals for the past twelve years. Field test results document Magnum underwater flame tubes burn longer than Broco®, Oxylance®, Arcair® and Slice rods, and Strong Welding Products™ as sold by Mar-Vel™ and other organizations. Our newly patented arc rods burn a whopping 300% longer than standard cutting rods. Try a box and realize superior performance and reliability. Other news includes Magnum's recently developed underwater wet welding electrodes. They burn more reliably and provide superior welds due to their unique moisture proofing. Electrode types range from mild steel to nickel. Drop them in the water for a year and they will burn like fresh from the factory because of the dry moisture application. Dry means no flux contamination for better burns and weld integrity. We are proud of the fact our products are used by a growing number of dive schools, the military, diving contractors and salvage agencies.
Technology is doubling every five years. Are you using the latest products? The leading dive school in the U.S. trains their divers on Magnum cutting products. Stay current with the latest technology.

A Blackhawk™ cutting torch generates double the temperature of any acetylene torch regardless of brand because of its unique ability to ionize metal particles using oxygen. Sublimation is the key and our burning process converts metal to a liquid state in seconds. The new consumables burn like no other burning bars, oxygen lances or Slice™ rods. Our law enforcement cutting torch, also known as the tactical thermal breaching torch, is used for breaching in a variety of settings. Our precision land and underwater cutting torches operate on either compressed bottled oxygen or liquid oxygen. Simply put, if medical oxygen is safe enough to breathe, it is safe enough to cut steel. The torch enjoys unrivaled diversity ranging from aircraft maintenance to scrap wrecking yards where a diversity of alloys are encountered ranging from aluminum and stainless steel to cast iron and manganese. The Blackhawk™ torch not only cuts at a ten-thousand degree temperature in flame mode without a welder assist, the same torch can also arc cut using a welder making it quite useful for auto salvage, boat salvage and boat repair. The military cutting torch is unequaled as both a land and a marine cutting torch. Tests show the emergency cutting torch is superior to oxyacetylene cutting equipment through its use of interchangeable collets to accommodate different cutting rod diameters. Although we have described our proprietary process as magmafusion™ welding distributors might have our torch listed under dated terms like exothermic, endothermic, Ultrathermic®, Aquathermic®, sea torch, sea cutting torch, oxy-arc cutting torch, thermal dynamics cutting torch, thermadyne™ air carbon arc gouging torch, oxygen cutting lances, thermolance oxygen lance, superblast cutting rods, aqua lance, surweld, and proweld, but it will not be listed as an oxy-gasoline cutting torch because it uses only oxygen like that sold by air liquide or other popular welding suppliers. Consider a forced entry tactical torch or submersible cutting torch as an indispensible asset to your cutting arsenal, sometimes referred to as an oxygen lance flame cutting torch to round off a rather long list of nomenclature. What is far more important is the process lends itself as the ideal entry torch when it comes to immediate cutting, gouging or piercing any material in seconds particularly as a convenient preparation for arc welding without time consuming grinding. Those building contractors using burning bars, burning rods, burning bars, thermic lances or oxygen lances will find our Blackhawk™ torch far easier to operate and control because of its unique design and lower oxygen regulator. Magnum was the first company that offered an oxygen regulator at the base of the torch to control flame length and is superior in control over gouging rods, making the ultimate maintenance torch. All of our high performance torches use standard brass collets to hold cutting rods and cutting tubes. Rods or tubes made by Caldo®, Oxylance®, Broco® and Arcair® will work in our cutting torch with greater performance according to our factory comparison tests. The Navy Seals recently preferred our cutting torch and cutting tubes to all ot her brands on the market. Commercial construction and heavy equipment is a prime market for our cutting torch when it comes to land projects. Nevertheless, when it comes to the serious challenges of underwater construction, commercial divers and diving organizations will find our torch an indispensible asset. Our customers include heavy construction equipment rental agencies, equipment contractors and contractors in general who have found our cutting torches and cuttring consumables superior to other cutting and welding consumables currently on the market. Simply put, there is no faster or more powerful cutting tool or cutting torch on the market for either land or underwater assignments. Even novices find out Blackhawk™ cutting torch easy to use.
Magnum is committed to innovation. As such, our newly patented arc cutting rods, also referred to as MAGarc™ cutting rods work with either AC or DC for efficient cutting. Please note all underwater cutting is done with DC only. We offer Lincoln welders to connect to our cutting torches. Also, we offer Lincoln plasma cutters for precise cutting on materials up to an inch in thickness using compressed air. We know the bottom line becomes a persuasive factor when it comes to offshore plasma cutting, offshore salvage, offshore welding or underwater cutting. Therefore, it is crucial to understand our underwater MAG3818X cutting rods boast 33% more cut on thick materials over rival cutting rods like Triton®, Broco® or Oxylance®. Major dive schools like Divers Institute of Technology train their students on our underwater cutting rods. Offshore maintenance mechanics using a plasma cutter or plasma torch will find our underwater cutting rods faster and far more maneuverable. What could be easier than hooking our torch to any size oxygen bottle so as to gouge out welds or pierce plate in seconds. The speed of cut is several times quicker than a propane torch or petrogen™ torch and our torch uses no gasoline. Many operators find the use of oxygen as the sole gas is far safer and easier to adjust than a gasoline torch.
Our newly patented arc cutting rods were designed for salvage and savage yard applications. Cutting, piercing and scarfing of scrap iron, scrap metal and scrap steel certainly becomes less problematic when using our hand held problem solver. Operators quickly remove spotwelds from any material, even stainless steel by merely directing the particle stream at the weld. Mechanics experienced in shipbuilding or submarine repair will find our underwater cutting torch highly convenient for all subsea activities when a tender is not available. Our standard underwater cutting rods can be ignited with any DC welder. We offer Lincoln Electric™ as the preferred welding power source. When it comes to thick underwater materials our arc cutting rods will burn better if using a welder of at least 400 amp rating. Our cutting rods are so reliable we have underwater welding schools using them to teach underwater cutting, underwater demolition and underwater plasma techniques. Any US diver knows the importance of safety procedures when it comes to vessel cutting, vessel maintenance and vessel repair. Since our torch uses oxygen as its gas a growing number of welding distributors are adopting our line for wreck diving assignments. Check with your local welding supply or welding distributor for our MAG3818X cutting rods. We also now offer a MAG3818GX that displays a galvanized dipped tube that can withstand salt water for 300o hours. Other products include underwater wet welding rods, also referred to as underwater wet welding electrodes. We offer E6013, E7014, E310, E312, and Nickel electrodes all coated for underwater use.
