MAG9000GPS™

As a former U.S. Army survivalist, interest has been maintained over the years in survival equipment and strategies for overcoming life threatening circumstances. Where a single tool was once preferred for single tasks, modern systems theory indicates a multi-pronged ecclectic approach to overcoming life threatening problems. With this understanding in mind, we have developed our new MAG9000GPS™ and aptly named it "The Final Solution™." The unit is so reliable we took it to a Marine base and shot a high caliber round into the fully pressurized cylinder. The result was an instantaneous escape of oxygen without damage to the pack. Tote it. Float it. Never sail a boat without it - - Eric

As a compliment to our standard wall charger, our GPS system includes a waterproof solar roll, the next generation solar device and the ultimate means of powering electronic equipment in the field. It rolls down to nearly nothing to fit into a convenient storage tube. Effective in low-light performance and displays reverse flow protection, is waterproof, UV transparent, and is constructed of durable material. Option of up to 14 watts of output.

Portable ignition system also multi-functions as charger, power source and more. Comes with a whopping 26 amp hour ignition in durable Pelican™ case.

Ships with plug in float charging accessory for convenient battery maintenance when the unit is not being deployed.

Plug in igniter head allows exothermic flame cutting tubes to be ignited using the above ignition system. Shorting the flame tube across the copper contact points causes ignition to take place.

Optional jumper cables allows the ignition system to jump other batteries in emergency situations. Plug in the cam adapters and throw the master switch for a powerful jump.

Exothermic flame cutting torch with unique thumb valve oxygen adjusting control provides complete operator control of the flame length.

Machined collets allow the torch to accommodate three separate exothermic cutting tube diameters, from .250 to .500 with .375 the most popular.

System derives power from a preset oxygen regulator with small 3000 psi oxygen gauge. No adjustment is necessary.

Easy filling of oxygen cylinders is due to the CGA540 fill threads, the most polular standard in the industry.

Alice style backpack with paddes shoulder straps and kidney pad. Ultra lightweight and easy to maneuver. The backpack is fitted with patented rubber cylinder straps for securing the oxygen cylinder.

Composite cylinder provides 3000 psi oxygen pressure for over thirty minutes of continuous cutting. With this system, that would yield an unimaginable amount of cutting from a small portable system. Consider it takes four seconds to pierce four inches of steel or eight seconds to remove 12 linear inches of weld.

Patented style exothermic flame cutting tubes with 2" rear safety recess and spoked radially aligned inner fuel. The tubes are corrosion proof to 3000 salt hours. Magnum is proud to manufacture the top cutting rod on the market for land or underwater. Our cutting rods are used by the number one dive school in the United States and Canada for training new divers.

While most of us may never intend to buy a yacht and head out to sea, there are a number of different ways we could end up on a large body of water fighting for our lives. If we fish on the Great Lakes or one of the oceans, fly in private or commercial aircraft, or take a cruise, we could find ourselves in the water as a result of bad weather, a collision, mechanical failure, or other emergency.

The power of OXYGEN

  1. Aircraft Pilots know 99.9 percent pure oxygen is far cleaner than the air we breathe. Fit a regulated face mask to the end of the service hose and provide emergency ventilation. The high pressure oxygen can be used to fill other oxygen sources. Submerge the cylinder for breathing or for emergency cutting.
  2. Inflated items go flat over time. Pressure from the lightweight composite cylinder is suitable for filling rafts, signal buoys, lift bags, tires, tubes and other oxygen cylinders. Field oxygen tents can be erected while waiting for an emergency air lift.
  3. Swimming furiously leads to exhaustion and fifty percent of body heat is lost through the head. Air is lighter than water and warmer. Buoyancy is second nature to the lightweight high pressure oxygen cylinder. When attached to the Alice backpack the cylinder can be worn as a life preserver on the back or like a jet powered belly board to assist in propulsion and to avoid beach landings where rip currents and sharp corral frequently lurk.
  4. High pressure oxygen has been used as a propulsion system in jet propelled boats for many years. Consider the advantages in using the service hose of the 3000 psi oxygen cylinder as an exhaust to jet propell to safety. The same unit can blow a gas line clear in the middle of the Atlantic.
  5. Oxygen in conjunction with our flame tubes can cut, gouge or pierce almost any known material. Even rocks can be pierced and fragmented. When it comes to a natural catastrophe or catastrophic accident, a convertable asset that can multi-task is essential for saving lives in an expeditious fashion.

Water resistant power base station

  1. Power 12 volt accessories including work tools. The list of accessories ranges from torque wrenches to global positioning satellite receivers. Even rations can be cooked in emergency situations with the recommended 12 volt device connected to the convenient service plug.
  2. Quickly charge 12 volt accessories including laptops and cell phones using a convertabnle service patch plugged into the side service port. Select from three separate battery size configurations depending upon the overall current demand.
  3. Work lights and navigation lights are critical in emergency situations. Vessels are kept visible in the dark of night while repairs are being effected. Power an emergency billage siphon pump to keep your vessel afloat while waiting for response to your distress call.
  4. Alternators can cause charging problems in precarious situations. Jump start dead or depleted 12 volt batteries when problems arise. Having a backup jump start battery makes sense when much of a vessel is electrically powered. The small space the unit consumes is well worth the return when required.
  5. Perform minor arc welding repairs using two cam lock ports fitted with short cables so the ground shorted current can fuse the metal into small spot welds. You may have seen this performed on the popular television series, McGyver.
  6. Start emergency cook fires using steel wool. Shorting steel wool across two contact points on the base station creates an instant fire with almost no battery drain. You may have seen this on the popular television series, Survivorman.
  7. The base station ignites a Magnum cutting torch to cut, gouge or pierce any material. Although a Magnum torch can be ignited without a battery, lighting takes two seconds using our ignition.

Pelican® floatable case

  1. Durable case with ample room for the cutting system, power base station and more. This is the "Final Solution" when it comes to serioius life saving assets.
  2. Use the case in conjunction with the backpack for additional buoyancy in addition to taking advantage of its storage capabilities. When it comes to a sea rescue, the larger your footprint, the better.
  3. If you had to ditch in the sea without a life raft, you can extend the telescopic handle for use as a tethering arm as well as additional stability.
  4. The backpack system and power base station can handle the moisture. If in a life raft use the case to keep other assets dry.
  5. If water bound, use the case to shield the sun or as a shelter from wind.
  6. Catch and store fresh rainwater.

The number of potential land and sea emergencies are endless.

Sea

  • Survival at sea depends upon "preparation."
  • A life vest or flotation devise is essential.
  • Can you remain with your vessel?
  • What steps can be taken to repair the vessel?
  • If not repairable, what supplies can you amass to help in your survival?
  • What steps can you take to save energy and improve your survival?
  • Can you send a distress call? Do you know the direction of land?
  • If you do not have your GPS, remember cumulus clouds tend to form over land and birds fly towards land at night. Wind generally blows toward land during the day and out to sea at night.

Scenarios

  • A vessel capsizes a mile from shore. The Final Solution is strapped on by the pilot and used like a jet pack to propel the pilot and two other crew members to shore. The 3000 psi charge will push over 150 psi with its standard oxygen regulator, or much higher if opening the cylinder valve direct.
  • A fellow diver becomes trapped inside a cave. You dive in with the Final Solution fitted with a Y connection. The diver has emergency backup breathing oxygen while the rescue diver uses the same cylinder to cut through debris trapping the diver.
  • Your lifeboat develops a leak. You repair it but it but you lost valuable air pressure. You connect the Final Solution to the lifboat fill hose and return the pressure to normal operating range with plenty of oxygen to spare for other uses.
  • An earthquake causes buildings to collapse. Survivors are trapped in the wreckage. You use the Final solution to rapidly cut through the mangled and twisted iron to allow the survivors to escape their otherwise egregious fate.
  • A cave in at a mine has left several workers trapped in an underground compartment. It will take time for a rescue crew to respond. One of the workers has access to the Final Solution which will allow the miners to breathe oxygen while using their power station to power lights and keep their cell phones working.
  • A vessel's rudder becomes entangled with wire from wreckage hidden underwater making navigation impossible. It may takes hours, if not days for rescue to arrive. The vessel's owner dives overboard and cuts through the wire entanglement in seconds, freeing the vessel's rudder and avoiding a serious situation.
  • You are on a life raft in the middle of the ocean. Food is nonexistent. You insert a blow dart tube into the Final Solution and point it overboard at passing fish. The dart is powered by 150 pounds of pressure driven down a small tube, driving the dart at sufficient pressure to kill or stun the fish.
  • You are exploring a remote area of the mountains and the weather unexpectantly turns foul. Rain keeps chances of a fire minimal. You have two choices. You can use your power station to power a heating blanket and keep warm for the night. You can also shave wood from a dry spot on a large tree and ignite the shavings using steel wool and your power station, even if wet.
  • You are driving in a remote part of the high desert when your encounter a flat tire. You open the trunk and pull the spare. The spare tire has lot pressur over time. You attach an inflater adapter to the Final Solution's hose and inflate the spare, avoiding a dangerous situation.
  • Use the power base station double prong igniter head to shock sharks so they leave without a trail of kill blood that only serves to attract more sharks.
  • Use a burning flame tube at night as a signal flare. Very bright light intensity will be seen for miles making it ideal for signaling helicopters, rescue planes and coast guard vessels.

GENERAL SURVIVAL TIPS

How to survive on water or land.

Avoid three leaf plants and eight legged insects. Eating plants: Better to avoid plants unless you are an expert since most will lead to illness or death.

Finding water: Find the lowest spot in an area and dig. Since animals also require water, observe their habits. Forget divining sticks which are supernatural myth and a waste of time.

Boiling water: If it is boiling, it is good enough.

Filtering water: Let it stand for twelve hours. Make a filter out of straw, sand, crushed rock, charcoal, or cloth. Use fire ash to remove the odor. Let stand 45 minutes prior to drinking.

Critters: Stick to critters with fur, fish, birds and eggs. Also, six legged insects are OK. Eight legged insects tend to be poisonous. Avoid any creature with red; natures warning.
